EXPLICACIÓN
Agar Soya Tripticaseína (AST) adicionado de sangre de carnero es un medio enriquecido, que favorece las reacciones hemolíticas además de que proporciona factores de crecimiento, las peptonas proveen la fuente de nitrógeno, vitaminas y aminoácidos esenciales. El Cloruro de Sodio tiene la función del balance osmótico y el Agar bacteriológico es incorporado como agente solidificante.
